How to use Club Checker
In your next practice round, stand over your ball & face the target.
Open the ‘Club Checker’ screen on the home page.
Firstly enter the distance you have to your landing area. Remember your landing area might not be the same as the distance to the pin. For example in dry hot conditions the greens may be hard therefore you would ideally want to land the ball short of the pin and let it roll up to be pin high.
Next, enter what club you would normally use for this shot. Press the ‘Check Selection’ button.
Your plays like distance will instantly be shown in the second box along with the difference to your entered distance.
The next two boxes will show you the distance that your chosen club will go in today’s weather conditions. These yardages will have been calculated taking into consideration temperature adjustments, wind speed & direction alterations and where the target is in relation to the predicted weather conditions. This will be done instantly and in real-time.
The next box will show how far off the plays like distance your chosen club was.
And finally, in the last box we will suggest our choice of club for the shot.
Now grab the club indicated and hit the shot. I would strongly urge you to hit what the app says, by that I mean if you would normally hit a 6 Iron and the app is saying you need a 4 Iron to go the distance you require, just go with it and make a full swing as you normally would. Don’t try and hold back in any way as you think you’ve got too much club.
Assuming you hit a good shot, you will now be closer to pin high.
Now you can see that the algorithm works learn how to do it with our club selection & selection process screens.
